{Jaedyn is 3 months old!}

Happy Birthday Jaedyn - it has been an amazing 3 months so far and I love every single second that I am with you!

{Update!}

Wow, it has been been 1.5 months since I have posted anything on this blog! I apologize for neglecting it and can't believe how fast life is moving and how very little time there is to do everything I want to each day! Little Jaedyn is now 2.5 months old and is FULL of personality. He is smiling up a storm, starting to giggle a little bit, trying to roll over, grabbing at things and loves to kick his little feet. I am absolutely in love! The newborn stage was wonderful but man oh man, this 2-3 month stage is amazing and so much fun for Joe and I. Our little man is growing a personality of his own and I can already see he has a nice little stubborn streak which he got from both Joe and I! Below are the latest photos I took of him on Friday morning while he had a full tummy and was super happy. I also included one of my fave photos of him, which was taken with my camera phone at a 4th of July cookout while wearing daddy's sunglasses and a series of details photos I took of him entitled "love you to pieces" which I photographed about a month ago.

{Jaedyn Is One Month Old!}

I can't believe how fast this past month has flown by! Today is my little guy's 1 month birthday - Happy Birthday Jaedyn!

{Baby Update - Jaedyn is 3 weeks old!}

Our baby will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! I can't imagine life without Jaedyn and even though parenthood has been trying at times {long sleepless nights and cries that you can't always instantly stop} I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. We are absolutely and totally in love with this little guy! The only complaint we have is that the weeks are going by way too fast. Thankfully Joe was able to take the first two weeks off with me and somewhat get settled into his daddy role before he had to tackle that, work and school again. Luckily, I still have another 3 weeks off before it's back to the working world. My biggest issue right now is trying to get out of the house in less than 2.5 hours! What a production to get ready, get baby ready and try to go somewhere!!

Within the past 3 weeks we have been visited by tons of friends and family, including a week long visit from my dad, Jaedyn's Grandpa who traveled 600+ miles to see his long awaited Grandson. We had Skyped Dad a few times with Jaedyn but nothing compares to actually getting to see and hold your Grandson in person. Jaedyn also got to meet his Nana {Great Grandma}, great auntie Davida, his auntie LaChelle and cousins Aryauna & Aviyon. I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day and spent it with Joe's mom and my mom. Joe and Jaedyn surprised me with a beautiful Tiffany & Co heart tag bracelet with special engraving on the backside - it's beautiful and was such a surprise!

I am feeling great {just a little sleep deprived!} and am healing wonderfully. Jaedyn and I have already made our rounds to the stores in Charlottesville for a little shopping and Joe and I have taken him out to eat with us a few times now. He is a doll baby and only fuses for a little bit when he is hungry. Since the weather is so nice we will start going on daily walks to help me get back in shape and ready to tackle the gym again in 4 or so weeks.

I am excited to say that I have FINALLY gone through all the images from these past weeks and have gotten the best of the best edited and loaded onto the gallery. We can not wait until all of you get to meet our little man! We think he pretty adorable and special - but we may just be a little biased : )

{Jaedyn's Photo Shoots . . . thus far!}

I swore I was going to take a photo a day in a different pose but I have been overwhelmed with everything that comes along with being a new mommy. The days slip away from you and “normal” life is totally upside down. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world though! I absolutely love being a mommy and can’t imagine life without Jaedyn. Even though we {I} have been slacking on the squishy newborn shots I specialize in we definitely haven’t been absent in snapping images left and right around the house and when visitors come. I now have well over 800 images to edit through!

The images shown on this post are from a mixture of sessions at 4, 7 and 8 days old. Thank goodness I finally got myself motivated to take little man’s photos before the rain started on Wednesday! Next assignment: take photos of Jaedyn with daddy . . . some nice artistic skin on skin black and whites!

Our little blessing has finally arrived! Jaedyn Bryant Anderson arrived on May 4, 2010 at 11:09pm, weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, 20 inches long and with a head full of dark hair.

Since our little man decided he was a little too comfy in utero, my OBGYN doctor ordered an induction 9 days after my due date. We arrived at Martha Jefferson Hospital at 7:30am on the 4th and had a very long day of labor. Due to some complications during pregnancy, a C-section was eventually required.

I know how anxious everyone is to see him so below is a sneak peek from our first week with Jaedyn. Both Joe and I have already taken 500+ images! and so I will be sorting through the photos and loading them onto the photo gallery within the coming days.

Joe, Jaedyn and I are settling into life at home with Hennessy and Capone {our doggies} and are loving all the visits from family and friends this past week. Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers as we embark into this new chapter of our lives. We are loving every single second of parenthood and are SO in love with this little guy. It's amazing how we can stare at him for hours and not get bored!
